How this will affect our passengers?
The new fare boxes will be put into service starting March 1st.
We anticipate a smooth transition and hope once people get used to the new fareboxes they will be easier and faster for our passengers to use. The new fareboxes will have several new features that will be more convenient and reliable for our customers. The 10-Ride Pass will work the same as TANK’s ticket book. It will be good for 10 rides and never expire. Express 10 ride passes are also available.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Beginning March 1st we will no longer accept the old tickets from the weekly ticket booklets on the buses. After that date, we will exchange an unused ticket book for a 10 ride pass. No cash refunds will be given.
Deadline to exchange ticket books will be July 1, 2010. After that date, no exchanges will be given.
