Southbank Shuttle

The SOUTHBANK SHUTTLE travels the Riverfront cities of Newport, Cincinnati and Covington in style. The map identifies the route, stops and includes a listing of all the attractions located on the route. The cost for this convenient service is $1.50 per trip. Transfers will be permitted to and from the Southbank Shuttle but not between Southbank Shuttle Buses.

The Shuttle runs two routes:

1. Begins in Covington on 5th Street by Goebel Park in the Main Strasse Village and travels through Covington, Cincinnati and Newport, ending at the Bellevue Medical Arts Building. This route is shown in purple on the map.

2. Begins at the Bellevue Medical Arts Building and travels through Newport, Cincinnati and Covington. This route is shown in orange on the map.

The Southbank Shuttle stops at each stop on the route every 20/25 minutes seven days a week --  check the schedule for specific times. The Shuttle will run extended hours and/or added service for special events, such as Reds and Bengals games.

Hours of Operation:

Sunday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Monday through Thursday 6 a.m. to 10 p.m.
Friday 6 a.m. to Midnight
Saturday 10 a.m. to Midnight

The Shuttle serves the entertainment districts in each city. Most of the hotels, restaurants and attractions in these cities are located on the route making this a great transportation option for groups and conventions. Tokens can be purchased for large groups by calling 859-578-6942 ext. 3024. Please ask for a Southbank Shuttle map at your hotel front desk. You may also call 859-331-TANK to receive a copy.

Suggestions on parking along the Southbank Shuttle route are listed below.  Passengers park at their own risk and should obey all posted parking signs.

Parking is available all along the route at the following locations.  Individual businesses may charge a fee for parking.  The lots that typically charge a fee to park are denoted with a $ below:

Newport:   Newport on the Levee garage 4th & Columbia$

Covington:  5th & Bakewell (near MainStrasse Village)
