Martin Luther King Jr. Parade Detours
Due to road closures along the MLK Parade route Monday, 1/18/2021 several stops are closed in Covington and downtown Cincinnati, from 9:30 a.m. to Noon today.
In Cincinnati, use the stop at 4th & Walnut Street. Most other stops downtown will be closed.
In Covington, stops on 3rd & 4th are closed. Use Covington Transit Center.
Otherwise, all service is on a regular weekday schedule.
Schedule and Fare Changes - Effective January 30, 2021
The TANK System Redesign schedule changes will go into effect on Saturday, January 30. On this same day, TANK fare simplification will occur -- all routes will cost $1.50 to ride.
All schedules and and details re: fare changes can be viewed on the TANK website at https://www.tankbus.org/2021-service-changes.
Public schedules will be available where you get yours beginning the week of January 18. Be sure to pick up a new schedule for your route. Every schedule has changed!

8th Street Closure/Detour - Covington
Beginning Monday, December 14th 8th Street Between Pike & Russell Streets in Covington will be closed for repair. The closure will extend through the end of the week. The closure will extend through the end of the week and impacts routes 1 and 5 (inbound only). The following bus stops will be impacted:
There will be (2) Bus Stops that will be closed due to detour:
- On 8th at Russell St.
- On 8th at Washington St.
Passengers can access the bus stop at Pike & Holman for service.

In January 2021, TANK will be implementing the service change that was planned by the System Redesign.

Today's Highlight: JOBS EXPRESS SERVICE -- Jobs Express routes offer shift-aligned schedules to major employment centers in Hebron, as well as all-day, hourly service to the Florence Industrial Area (the area currently served by the #1 Industrial). These routes also offer park and ride options for local residents heading to Cincinnati.

Bus Stop CLOSED at 4th & Walnut (Cincinnati)
Bus Stop CLOSED at 4th & Walnut St. (Cincinnati) for sidewalk repair and underground issues. The bus stop will be temporarily moved mid-block to the Federal Reserve (Metro Bus Stop).
This closure will be for the following dates & times:
- Friday, November 20th 7am to 5pm
- Monday, November 30th 7am to 5pm
Routes impacted: Outbound 1, 3, 5, 7, 8, 9, 11(AM only), 33, 39X, & 40X

Today's Highlight: FREQUENT SERVICE -- Frequent Service, includes routes that serve the main, most heavily-travelled corridors and destinations in Northern Kentucky: the Madison Avenue corridor (n. of 11th), Latonia Centre, CVG Airport, Florence/Dixie Hwy and Alexandria Pike/NKU.
These frequent routes will offer service every 30 minutes or less 7 days a week, with some routes moving to 40 minute service after 8pm.

3rd St. Bus Stops Closed in Covington – Use CTC
Bus Stops at 3rd & Bakewell and 3rd & Johnson in Covington are CLOSED until further notice for all outbound Kenton Co. buses leaving Cincinnati going to Covington due to closure of Brent Spence Bridge and related traffic impacts. Use Covington Transit Center.
Be Patient - Area bridge closed due to fire - all routes affected
Due to a large fire and tractor trailer accident on the Brent Spence Bridge, area roads are seeing major traffic impacts. TANK buses may experience delays as they work to navigate the detours and travel in and out of Cincinnati.
Please be patient and realize that you may see delays on your route.

Public Comment Needed - TANK Fare Change Proposal
Get Ready! The TANK Redesign is Coming!
⏰Get ready! At the June 10th meeting, the TANK Transit Board of Directors approved the final redesigned network and service plan and we are working diligently to get the plan implemented and on the road this coming winter.
Thank you to everyone that contributed to the public involvement and input process -- you helped make this plan one that will serve Northern Kentucky's transit needs well into the future.

Labor Day- TANK will Operate a Sunday Schedule
TANK will operate a Sunday schedule for the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 7, 2020.
The call center will be closed. Visit tankbus.org for schedules or download Transit app to buy fare.
Fare Payment and Front Door Boarding to Return on August 10
Beginning Monday, Aug. 10, TANK will resume fare collection and front door boarding on all trips. TANK buses are now outfitted with plexiglass shields to help protect drivers and customers.
The fastest and safest way to pay your fare is with the TANK Transit app. Cash fare and pre-paid passes are also still accepted.
Customers can purchase fare by downloading Transit app on your mobile device or have your cash fare ready when boarding any TANK bus using exact change.
Know before you go
To make your trip safer please follow these guidelines:
- Mask required. Face coverings are now required to ride TANK.
- Practice social distancing by providing as much space between you, other passengers and TANK employees
- Be fare-ready: if using cash fare have it ready and insert it into the fare box quickly then proceed to a seat.
- Use contactless payment. The Transit app with EzFare is free to download and allows riders to purchase fare anytime, anywhere. Tickets can be stored on your smartphone and activated up to 30 minutes before boarding. After you board the bus, just show your digital pass to the driver as you board.
- Cover your cough or sneeze. Wash your hands and avoid touching your face.
Face Masks are now REQUIRED on TANK
Face masks are now required on TANK buses.
Effective Friday, July 10, 2020, at 5 p.m., all TANK and RAMP riders will be required to wear a facial covering while on the bus or while waiting for the bus.
Children 5 and under are not required to wear a mask.
Thank you for doing your part to protect yourself and others from the spread of COVID-19.
In addition to wearing a mask or other facial covering while riding, TANK asks riders to:
- Spread out as much as possible on board.
- Continue to board through the back door, unless the use of a mobility device or mobility impairment requires front door/ramp boarding.
- Observe CDC guidelines including using hand sanitizer, washing hands regularly for at least 20 seconds, and covering coughs and sneezes with a tissue.
