RAMP

The Regional Area Mobility Program (RAMP) is a door to door paratransit service available to disabled citizens who are unable to use TANK's fixed route bus service. RAMP serves the areas of Boone, Campbell, and Kenton counties in Northern Kentucky, which are also served by TANK's fixed route system. Large print and or recorded schedules are available upon request.

Under the Americans with Disabilities Act, individuals with disabilities who meet one or more of the following criteria are eligible for RAMP. Eligible persons include:

  • Individuals who are unable to ride, board or disembark from a regular service, accessible TANK vehicle without the assistance of another individual (except the operator of a wheelchair lift or boarding assistance device)
  • Individuals with disabilities who have a specific impairment-related condition which prevent them from traveling to or from a regular bus stop.

Please call our Special Services office at 859-578-6949 to receive information on program eligibility and registration, reserving your rides, planning your trip, fares, passenger assistance, cancellations, transfers and other policies you need to know in order to use RAMP.

Beginning in January 2021, the RAMP Service area has been separated into two zones.

1.      Inside the strict ADA area (outlined in RED on the map) has no changes - $2.50 fare per trip.

2.      The RAMP service area outside of the required ADA boundary (outlined in GREEN on the map) includes all of the RAMP coverage area that is outside of the ADA required boundary.  TANK will continue to provide trips in this area, at a fare of $5.00 per trip.

If you are unsure if your origin or destination is inside the strict ADA area, please contact the RAMP office at 859-578-6949.  Staff will be able to determine if your address is inside the strict ADA area or not.
