TANK Social Media Comment Policy
The Transit Authority of Northern Kentucky (TANK) uses social media to connect with the public, provide updates about transit services, and promote public engagement. We encourage dialogue and the sharing of information, ideas, and opinions. However, all TANK social media platforms are moderated on public pages and not public forums.
Please be aware that when engaging with TANK through social media, you agree to the following:
Comments
TANK reserves the right to remove and/or hide comments or posts that:
- Contain obscene, indecent, or profane language
- Contain threats, personal attacks, or defamatory statements
- Promote, foster, or perpetuate discrimination on the basis of race, color, creed, age, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, national origin, physical or mental disability
- Include sexual content or links to sexual content
- Promote commercial services or products
- Support or oppose political candidates or ballot propositions
- Infringe on copyrights or trademarks
- Advocate illegal activity
- Compromise the safety or security of the public or public systems
- Violate the legal ownership interests of another party
- Contain information that may interfere with or compromise ongoing investigations, public safety operations, or legal proceedings
Users who violate this policy may be banned or blocked from posting on TANK’s social media pages.
Public Records
All content posted on TANK social media accounts is subject to public disclosure under the Kentucky Open Records Act. Removed comments are preserved and documented for public records purposes as well.
